Fundraising

Dear friends,

I hope this finds you all well as autumn slowly waves goodbye.

As some of you may know, I ran on Sunday, November 4th, the 2018 New York City Marathon for an extraordinary organization that has deeply touched my life and the one of my family. I ran for FACES (Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures), NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy center, created and led by our dear friend the wonderful Dr. Orrin Devinsky, and dedicated to helping people and families living with epilepsy, through research, education, and clinical and community support programs. The goal was to raise $20,000 and thanks to your enormous generosity, we have collectively reached $16,000. Sixteen-thousand dollars! A fabulous amount!

And as you might have guessed already, we won’t stop there. So here we go again! Sunday, June 2nd, 1.2-miles swim, 56-mile bike ride, 13.1-mile run, the Ironman 70.3, yeehaaaa. And since I can’t yeehaaaa without your help, here’s the deal: I will do the tough part (training and drinking water and eating pasta and cramping and so on), and all you have to do, if you feel like it, is to contribute to FACES. And because we all need a challenge, the goal this time will be $25,000.

You can donate on https://www.crowdrise.com/fundraise-and-volunteer/the-team/faces-at-new-york-university-on-behalf-of-its-school-of-medicine-nyc-2018 (click on “Antoine Bernard”, at the top of the page)

Funds raised will benefit research efforts to improve epilepsy care, educational resources, family initiatives, scholarship opportunities and events hosted by FACES throughout the year. To learn more about FACES, please click here (https://nyulangone.org/).

Because they need us. Because it feels good to give back. Because we all live on the same planet and some are luckier than others.

Thank you so much for your support.

Sincerely,

Antoine
